How Travel Vision (Pty) Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act.

Introduction

Travel Vision (Pty) Ltd is committed to compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). The purpose of POPIA is to protect individuals from harm by protecting their personal information, and to protect their privacy as a fundamental right.

This policy establishes measures and standards for the protection and lawful processing of personal information within the company. We undertake to take all reasonable steps to use personal information only in ways compatible with this policy. Any deviation, breach or possible breach must be reported to the Information Officer.

Information Officer

The appointed Information Officer is Dharmesh Kooverjee, Director, who can be contacted at dharmesh@travelvision.co.za.

The Information Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring this policy, encouraging compliance with the conditions for lawful processing of personal information, and managing requests received under POPIA.

What we collect

Personal information means information relating to an identifiable living person, and where applicable an identifiable existing juristic person. This can include name, contact details, identifying numbers, email and physical addresses, location information, online identifiers, and information relating to financial or travel history where it is necessary to arrange a booking.

When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect the name, email address, phone number and message you provide, together with any trip details you choose to share.

How we use it

We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and administer travel bookings, and to meet the legal and contractual obligations that come with those bookings. Booking travel necessarily involves sharing relevant details with the airlines, hotels and operators providing the service.

Analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics is opt-in: no analytics cookies are set and no analytics script is loaded until you accept them, and you can decline without losing any functionality.

Disclosure

We will disclose personal information where required by law, or in the good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to comply with legal process, to protect and defend the rights or property of the company, to co-operate with the investigation of purported unlawful activities, to protect the safety of any individual or the public, or to carry out credit checks on potential clients where necessary.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy, unless retention is required or authorised by law, you have consented to retention, or retention is necessary as part of your interactions with the company. Records may be kept in physical or electronic form.

Please keep your personal information accurate and up to date by informing us of any changes.

Transfer outside South Africa

We will only transfer personal information outside South Africa where you have given consent, or where the transfer is necessary to conclude or perform a contract between you and the company. Arranging international travel routinely requires this.

Limitation

The company is not responsible for, gives no warranties, and makes no representations in respect of the privacy policies or practices of any third party.
